The North Atlantic Fish & Workboat Show a Success!
St. John’s, NL- The producers of the North Atlantic Fish & Workboat Show, Master Promotions Ltd., are pleased to report that the third edition of this industry event was a success.
The show was larger than ever before with a more diverse exhibitor base showcasing new, innovative and relevant products. This was presented to 3126 registered visitors who came to the show over the two- day span. These attendance numbers were up from the 2010 edition. Attendees came from all over North America and beyond including Saint-Pierre et Miquelon, France, the United States, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, the Gaspe, QC, Iceland and beyond.
Exhibitors commented that this was an engaged audience and they were in the market to buy. Many sales were made on the floor and many left with several leads to follow up on during the upcoming year.
The Navigator Magazine and Master Promotions Ltd. are pleased to announce that three new Newfoundland and Labrador members were inducted into the Atlantic Canada Marine Industries Hall of Fame on the opening day of the event. The awards were well attended and the inductees were truly honoured.
The three newest members are Ross Petten, who was inducted as a Mariner; Alec Moores who was inducted as a Processor; and Henry Vokey who was inducted as a Builder. The next inductions will be at the Eastern Canadian Fisheries Exposition in Yarmouth in 2013.
